Baku Steel Company CJSC signed a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual cooperation with a government agency of Tajikistan
The Azerbaijan-Tajikistan Business Forum was organized on May 20, 2024 by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) and the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The objective of the forum was to develop bilateral economic and investment cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tajikistan, strengthen trade and economic partnerships, establish connections between business circles, explore new areas and opportunities for cooperation, mutual investments, and to implement joint projects.
The business forum commenced with opening speeches delivered by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov, and the Minister of Industry and new technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sherali Kabirov.
Within the framework of the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual cooperation was signed between the largest and most modern metallurgical company in the South Caucasus, Baku Steel Company CSJC (BSC), and State enterprise “Design center for the new industrial Technologies” under the Ministry of Industry and new technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan. The document was signed by General Director of Baku Steel Company CJSC, Kamal Ibrahimov and the Center’s, Director Nekruy Zabirzoda.
In addition, with the participation of BSC representatives, a number of B2B meetings were held between companies from both countries, where prospective opportunities for cooperation were discussed.
