“Baku Steel Company” CJSC (BSC) approved the Quality Policy on 21 February 2021 as required by the legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic and applicable international standards; it also possesses international standard ISO 9001:2015 - Quality Management System (QMS).
Our Company has taken the following commitments as per QMS:
- Conformance of the quality policy, objectives, and QMS to the Company principles and strategic orientation;
- Supply of high-quality products to customers;
- Ensuring availability of resources required for QMS;
- Timely production of goods within the legal framework and with adherence to the demands and expectations of the customers;
- Direct employees to development, necessary training, and improvement;
Conformance of goods and services, as well as identification and assessment of risks and opportunities that may impact the improvement of customer satisfaction.
Since the start of its operations, BSC has worked with renown and reputable organizations of the world in the field of quality standards, such as “SGS” (Sweden), “BSI” (The British Standards Institution), and “TUV” (Austria). Currently, all goods produced for export are sold with quality and quantity warranties of these companies. To this aim, they perform completely independent tests of BSC products and approve quality certificates issued by the plant.
At the same time, conformance of 10 mm dia re-bar samples of BSC to international standards was verified by fatigue tests successfully performed by the Turkish “Matil” Company and was considered fully meeting the requirements of DIN 488 standard (Germany).
Relevant state authorities of the Azerbaijan Republic issued a national conformity certificate to our steel rebars. The quality of the goods produced at the plant was also verified in the laboratories abroad with positive results.
Quality control of the product is carried out in the analytical and mechanical test laboratory where the composition of steel is determined using spectral and chemical methods. Steel composition is determined against 21 chemical elements, and Ferro-alloys and other materials are added before delivery to the casting machine and adjusted according to the standards. Thus, the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the finished construction rebars conform to the highest demands of the standard.
