Chinara Bakhshiyeva | Azerbaijan

Chinara Bakhshiyeva studied sculpture at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts and has been active in local and international exhibitions and competitions since her student years. She has been a member of the Youth Division of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan since 2017.

For “Baku Steel Art 2024”, she created Boundless Nature. The artist sees this work as a symbol of humanity’s desire to understand and protect nature: “My work reflects both the beauty and fragility of nature in the face of modern ecological challenges. Through metal constructions, our connection to nature is made visible, and we are reminded that it is our responsibility to protect this bond for future generations. The birds soaring on the pieces symbolize freedom and hope for the restoration of ecosystems. This project aims to remind us of the dangers of climate change to our world and our collective home. We must act together to protect nature from ecological disaster, because if we give it the chance to thrive, its possibilities are truly boundless.”
