Lion King

Haribaabu Naatesan | India

Haribaabu Naatesan studied Visual Communication Design in Chennai, India, and later pursued Animation Film Design at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, India.

For the “Baku Steel Art 2024” metal symposium, Haribaabu Naatesan created the sculpture “Lion King”: “This sculpture is entirely made from metal scrap found in the factory. It took approximately 3 tons of metal scrap to create. Science tells us that ‘matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed; they can only change forms.’ Every end has a beginning. When I see discarded materials, I see a spirit waiting to be awakened, and I bring it to life.”
