Leyla Gabulova was born in Baku in 1989. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the Azerbaijan Medical University (2007–2011) and her master’s degree in Drug Discovery and Pharmaceutical Management at the University College London (UCL) (2012–2013). Later, she participated in programs at the British Higher School of Art and Design and the Hafan Film Studio in Moscow, studying the animation and contemporary art. Her installations and conceptual works have been exhibited in major art venues, such as the Museum of 20th–21st Century Azerbaijani Art, ARTIM Gallery, and international exhibitions organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Leyla Gabulova presented a work entitled “The Flow of Silence” at the “Baku Steel Art 2025” symposium. “This monument reflects a paradox: the metal surface resembles flowing water yet remaining completely still. However, the stones scattered across it give the metal a subtle breath, evoking waves of life and time filled with silence.

The piece reminds viewers that life’s most delicate moments reveal themselves only to those who pause, listen, and truly see. Even in apparent stillness, there is rhythm and motion — one only needs to observe. "The Flow of Silence” is not merely an object but a visual poem, a meditative experience embodied in metal. It invites us to sense harmony not in the absence of contrast, but in the subtle resonance between silence and movement.”
