Since 2021, she has been teaching at the Department of Sculpture at ADRA, and in 2022, she became a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the 2025 International Carpet Festival, Zhala Aliyeva has created a new work titled "A Witness to Two Lives": “A carpet is a precious artifact present in every home, silently bearing witness to every event that takes place within. In this composition, two chairs symbolize two individuals and the life they have lived together. The rhombus-shaped motif at the center, along with other patterns, draws from the ancient Turkic ornaments frequently used in the works of the renowned carpet artist Latif Karimov. Additionally, elements inspired by nature, such as leaf motifs, are also incorporated into the composition."
